Tea being poured at a linen-covered table in the House of Chessie
Our House

Inspired by one extraordinary host.

The Name

Chessie was my grandmother's nickname.

She was known for bringing people together around beautiful tables. Whether an elegant dinner or a casual Sunday gathering, she believed hospitality wasn't about perfection — it was about making people feel welcomed, celebrated and at home.

House of Chessie exists to continue that tradition: in every box we bake, every parcel we wrap and every table we set.

How We Keep House

Four things we hold to.

01

Warmth over perfection

A slightly lopsided scone served warm beats a perfect one served cold. Hospitality is a feeling, not a finish.

02

Always enough

There is always one more chair, one more cup, one more scone to be split. Nobody leaves a Chessie table hungry.

03

The Irish way

Barely handled dough, a hot oven, a pot of tea that never quite empties. Simple things, done properly.

04

Considered, not showy

Quiet luxury — good linen, real butter, a handwritten card. Details you feel more than notice.
